Upcoming Production: NEWSIES
The Torch Players are the oldest age group of the TORCH Drama Club, comprised of students aged 15 and up who perform the season's big spring musical. The Torchies are a stunningly talented group of young actors who perform family-friendly musicals, including dramas like The Sound of Music, and comedies such as Singin' in the Rain, Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Bye Bye, Birdie.

Every Torch show amps up the production skills of the cast and crew, especially in regards to choreography. This year's title of Newsies - a revival of the 2020 Newsies production that was unfortunately canceled due to Covid - is poised to present not only intense fight and dance choreography, but also a beautiful cast of old and new friends who are bringing a myriad of music, acting, and dancing talent to make this production great!

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe: Sparks Production
The Sparks Players are the middle age group of TORCH, comprised of 11-14 year old students who perform the season's first two-act production. The Sparks are a treasure trove of young actors who offer an energetic look into children's theatre with more of an edge, having performed dramas like A Christmas Carol and Miracle on 34th Street, originals like After the Apple and Legends of the Ocean Realm, and action-heavy productions like King Arthur and The Last Battle.

Every Sparks show amps up the production skills of the cast and crew, especially in regards to makeup, costumes, props, and choreography. This year's title of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - a revival of TORCH's first production ever - presented not only amazing costumes and sets, but also intense fight choreography and a larger-than-life lion to play the beloved Aslan!
Pinocchio: Embers Production
The Embers Players, the youngest age-group in TORCH consisting of 10-11 year old students, performs a one-act production every year. A main attraction of the group is its production crew, which usually almost entirely consists of Torch and Sparks members who have volunteered their time teaching the skills they've learned in thr group to the young actors. Volunteer parents and graduates create sets, props, costumes, and often even write the shows.

This year, the young actors performed a lovely production of Pinocchio, complete with a growing nose and a whale onstage!
